01 September 2012 - Serotonin Club Poster presentation.

Adrian Newman-Tancredi Ph.D. co-presented a poster at the Serotonin Club meeting in Montpellier, France (10-12th June 2012) with Andrew McCreary, an experienced neurobiology researcher. The poster was entitled "Antipsychotic Agents: Biased Agonism at Serotonin 5-HT1A Receptors" and used bibliographic data-mining to identify novel "biased agonist" profiles of activity of clinically-employed drugs (see Abstract). Distinctive receptor activation may underlie some of the superior therapeutic properties of atypical antipsychotics such as clozapine or aripiprazole.

Adrian also chaired a symposium of the Serotonin Club (see News from 3 July 2012). He has extensive experience of serotonin receptor pharmacology and has presented to a wide variety of audiences. For more information about Adrian's lectures: Contact

Andrew McCreary gained profound experience of neurobiology drug discovery at Solvay Pharmaceutical before taking up his current post at Brains Online, Netherlands.
